Becoming Like Jesus

Believers' Chapel seeks to intentionally live in relationship with Jesus Christ and one another, becoming more like Him, so that we can glorify God and fulfill the Great Commission.

WE INTENTIONALLY LIVE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND GOD’S WORD.

Jesus promises to be with us in His Great Commission, as He is the Master Disciplemaker- transforming us to be like Himself. The glory of the new covenant is the indwelling Holy Spirit who empowers us and changes us to be like Jesus. Literally, Christ lives in us, so we live with Jesus every moment of the day. Jesus is our life, message, and strength!

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I commanded you, and remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Colossians 1:27-29 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also, labor striving according to His working which works in me mightily.”

WE INTENTIONALLY LIVE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER.

Our intentional communities promote organic relationships, as we learn to love one another. Relational discipleship is an intentional relationship that loves the other person- encouraging them toward maturity in Christ.

Ephesians 4:15-16 “but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head- Christ- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

WE INTENTIONALLY LIVE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR COMMUNITY.

Our presence in our community is extended through our service projects at Black Fox Elementary, seasonal events inviting the community to our campus, but most often as we interact with people in our daily lives. The Church gathers on Sunday and departs to immerse itself into the lives of people around us. As we do so, we lead others to know Jesus and His love for them.

Colossians 4:5-6 “Walk in wisdom towards those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”

I Peter 3:15 “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;”

We are not perfect, but we are in process!
